It has a history dating back to the 13th century and was officially founded in 1969 through a merger between the faculties of medicine, pharmaceuticals and science. Its wide range of laboratories and high-quality training courses in the fields of science, health, sport, technology, and engineering have earned it the reputation of being one of the world's leading scientific universities for over 50 years now.

University of Toulouse’s Role in UrbanAIR
In UrbanAIR, the University of Toulouse contributes expertise in city modelling, providing insights and methodologies to support the development of digital twin tools for urban environments. Together with Meteo-France and the CNRS, it develops the community weather research Meso-NH. Its last published contribution was to port Meso-NH on different GPU architectures for the next generation of supercomputers.
